High
strength salicylic acid with strong copper peptide treatment is traditionally
used to reduce or fade acne marks. The high concentration of salicylic
acid induces controlled damaged on the skin and on acne scars. Salicylic
acid then slowly dissolves away the acne scars while copper peptide
stimulates the production of collagen and healthier skin cells. This
is usually done once a week only to allow the skin to heal properly
from the controlled damage caused by salicylic acid.
When
you just want to control acne breakouts, you can use low strength (0.5%)
salicylic acid and standard copper peptide products on daily basis.
Low concentration salicylic acid produce mild exfoliation of the skin
and copper peptide helps stimulate the renewal of healthier skin cells.
Copper peptide would also reduce the redness and inflammation of existing
pimples.
Dosage
and Application
The
required concentration for salicylic acid is at least 0.5% according
to the FDA monograph (21 CFR 333.310 for OTC acne treatments). For copper
peptide, use Super GHK serum or CP Serum. CP Serum is a stronger copper
peptide product. This acne treatment method requires that you exfoliate
the skin using 0.5% salicylic acid and then wait for about 30 minutes
before applying the copper peptide cream or serum. Copper peptide should
be left on the skin overnight for maximum skin penetration. It is best to do this
acne remedy cocktail at night time before going to sleep.
